Room was clean and comfortable. I fixed the toilet in our room the flapper was off. No big deal. Breakfast was really good and a lot to choose from. We got fresh towels and room service second day when we where gone witch was nice. Hotel was clean and prob one of the nest I've stayed st in a while.
It is not the representative's fault, but that was horrible. She was the only one working tonight. I booked a 2 double bed with a sofabed, and I only got a king bed with a sofabed. I didn't really care about the bed count that much but yeah that wasn't acceptable. I then ask for an extra blanket. She gave me a blanket with a roach on it. Didn't realize there was a roach on it until I got into my room. Got to my room the roach came off the blanket and also there were some bugs on the floor. I said heck nah. I booked another hotel nearby. She wasn't authorized to give me a refund, so i will call back the next day. Elevators also I swear had Casper the ghost using the elevators. UPDATE: They were only able to give me a refund back for 1 of the 2 nights because I “checked in”. The time between check in and check out was literally less than 30 minutes. I have put in a formal complaint to request that other night’s refund back.
What a situation. I’m writing this review after a five-night stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing overall. The front desk staff came across as unprofessional, often sharing personal opinions instead of providing clear, professional answers to guest questions. The elevators were a constant issue. They repeatedly reopened while trying to close, making it frustrating to go up or down. I understand housekeeping needs to transport garbage from rooms but jeez it smelled so bad. I never have this issue in other hotels. I would think they would want to use the stairs. And why does the elevator make such an unwelcoming sound it needs attention. During breakfast, a large bug appeared in the dining area. To their credit, the staff acted quickly to remove it before guests became overly alarmed, but it was still an unpleasant experience. On my last morning, I was unpleasantly woken up at 8 a.m. by housekeeping, even though the “Do Not Disturb” sign was on the door. They came just to ask whether I was checking out that day, which felt intrusive and unnecessary. I’ve stayed at 2.5-star hotels that felt closer to four-star experiences, with no complaints from me. Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet that standard and truly takes the cake. I genuinely hope the management can improve these issues. I’m sharing this feedback in the nicest and most constructive way possible, with the hope that future guests will have a better experience.
Stayed here for three nights during a conference (2 weekend nights + 1 week night). Check-in was easy (Vanessa was very helpful), navigating hotel was easy (though they might want to get their elevators inspected), room was clean and well-furnished, had no issues. Air conditioning was fantastic, especially with the heat. I used the gym here three times—the air conditioning was down, so it became a "hot" workout. Limited space, so you could probably have three people in there before it began to feel crowded (I was mostly there by myself). I had to play my own music because the speaker system was playing the hotel lobby music (which is not conducive for a good workout). Breakfast is from 7:30-10:30am I think weekends and 6:30am-10:30am weekdays (double check that), and had enough stuff to cover the bases on food (eggs, sausages, eggs, breads, fruit, yogurt, hardboiled eggs, coffee, juice, milk). My only complaint was they took away the coffee in the morning after bfast—it'd be nice if they had one pot out all day. Lobby also had snackbar and alcohol bar, which I did not partake in. I believe it's open til 11, last call at 10:45pm. I had a nice stay and will be back.
On the plus, good service (very friendly staff) and one of the better complementary breakfast bars in the DFW area (more options than most Hyatt Place/Hyatt House hotels). Options included scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, fruit, and toast. On the minus, old rooms with peeling paint and tired interiors. The road noise from the adjacent Dallas North Tollway was substantial and interrupted our sleep several times a night. The staff was great and they really made an effort for breakfast, but we did not get a restful night of sleep.
