Motel 6 Dallas - Plano - Southeast

This place says it's motel 6 but when I get there it's a red roof in there falsely promoting business very sketchy place

My wife and I recently stayed at the Motel 6 at 1820 N. Central Expressway Plano TX. This email is to express some concerns we had with the condition of this Motel 6 during our stay. The items of concern are listed below Apparently there was a problem with the lock on our room #126. We continually found it difficult to get the door to open by simply sliding the card into the lock. Many times the lock failed to allow us to open the door and when this was reported to the front desk someone was went to check the lock but did nothing to fix the issue. Instead I was able to open the lock 50% of the time by sliding the key care in an out quickly several times. This is the same process the person sent by the front desk performed but the issue itself was never resolved. We discovered that the beading had holes in it and fitted sheets on one of the beds had stains on it. There was paint splatters on the one chair and the table in the room where it appears the room was repainted. There were also areas of the room where it appears that painting had occurred and patching was still needed. The stopper for the tub was broken and lying on the toilet. My wife who likes to take baths was unable to take a bath and the shower was not really powerful and what appeared to be an adjustable shower head did not adjust. Overall my wife and I were unhappy with our stay at this Motel 6 and while this was listed as the least expensive of the pet friendly motels neither my wife nor I will be staying at this Motel 6 again.

Not a bad place for the money, I understand they don't have enough help, etc. The floors were new but they weren't completely clean and they had some roaches. The trash outside was obviously hard to keep up with, lots of people there. The furniture was nice, the bed was comfortable, plenty of ice, right behind a Denny's!

The room was infested with roaches. The toilet leaked around the base so bad that it flooded the bathroom floor, even after maintenance came and "fixed" it. The lights didn't work properly. The phone in the room didn't work at all. I stayed with my wife and son and we were harassed by a young woman that was obviously under the influence of drugs. She started by rudely interrupting my wife, our friends, and I while we were outside smoking a cigarette. In order to get away from her we decided to go into our respective rooms. Shortly after going in to our room the intoxicated woman attempted to force her way in, begging me to open the door and when I told her to go away she claimed she was the police. When I opened the door to ask her to leave, as my 7 year old son was asleep, she tried forcing herself in the door and threatened to harm me and my family. She was not removed from the property, only asked to return to her room. The room was filthy when we arrived. Bugs were crawling out of light switches and power outlets. There was no security lock on the door. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with children or to females that are staying alone. The price wasn't bad but there are other hotels that are the same price and better quality.

The front desk people were nice, but the parking lot was full of trailers no where to park. The staircase leading to the room was full of trash and sinks, it smelled terrible. Some of the steps were broken. The room was clean but roaches were in the bathroom. Room was not freshen up or clean towels left, had to go the front desk. This was the worst Motel 6 I have ever stayed in. Never had any problems in California, New Mexico or in San Antonio. Next time ill be thinking if I need a place to stay, ill think again if i should stay again at a Motel 6, after this experience. Good thing it was only me staying and not my wife and kids. I wouldn't recommend this location to family and friends.
