6/20/25 Had a 1 PM grooming appointment at PetSmart for my dog. They called and asked me to come in earlier at 11 AM, so I adjusted my schedule and did that. It was supposed to be for a haircut, but what I got is a joke. For $104, this is beyond disappointing — it looks rushed and half-done. I honestly could’ve done a better job myself at home with clippers. Total waste of money. Do better.
I dropped off my dog for a bath and made sure the staff had my correct phone number. The employee even highlighted it on the form. After over 3 hours with no call, I called the store to check. They claimed they called and left a voicemail—but had used the wrong number. Because of their mistake, I didn’t know my dog was ready, and we were charged a $10 late pickup fee. I called and explained the situation, and the staff told me I could come in to get a refund. When I returned, the manager, Mari, was very unprofessional and dismissive. She insisted they had called me multiple times, but I showed her they used the wrong number. I had no missed calls or voicemails. She refused to take responsibility and raised her voice when I asked for proof or explanation. Eventually, another staff member issued the refund after she said, “Just do it, I don’t want to argue with her.” I left feeling disrespected and unheard. This was a clear staff error, but I was treated like I was the problem. It was a frustrating and uncomfortable experience—especially from someone representing management I hope the district or area manager sees this and takes steps to train the staff—especially the store manager, she said she is the store manager —on how to provide professional and respectful customer service. I selected bath and brush, included Paw pad trim, my dog’s paw pad not trim at all. Not At All! Is this the service Pet smart provided? I will rather to go west Plano Pet Smart, not this east Plano location!
Their fish selection is a little lacking compared to other locations (they don't have shrimp at all) but the livestock I've gotten here have been healthy. I've gotten aquarium plants here that are still thriving. Oh and I like the litter they have, Dr. Elsey's is reasonably priced and works great for my 3 cats. Staff is always super friendly at this location too.
Great place for pet stuff. Occasionally good deals, but not many. Best service you'll get is from the cashier.
Oranda goldfish 7.99 what can I say, he is prettier than the show fish. Did my homework, cycled tank before I brought him home. Did the three day quarantine with prophylactic meds. Seachem products worked best. Peetee is vivid, personable and gorgeous
