We chose to replace a recently identified major electrical and fire hazard, at our home built in the mid-eighties, as a planned event as soon as possible last fall. The Federal-Pacific Stab-Loc 200A Load Center main electrical distribution system panel for our home was more than obsolete, and we wanted to also bring our system up to 2020 NEC Electrical Code requirements, including grounding, whole house surge protection, and emergency services shut off capability as part of our home safety systems projects. We also wanted in to upgrade to new AFCI breakers where possible, update some aged GFCI receptacles and replace several standard receptacles. We needed and updated 'panel schedule' to reference all appliances, lights and plugs power source breakers in the cabinet accurately too. To make a long story short, the bids I got were all over the mat and not consistent or detailed until I finally called McBride Electric who quoted us accurately with detailed and cost that made sense - so glad we went with them. Chris and John, with coordination of Oncor Power and the cooperation of the City of Murphy Inspector, cut our power in the morning of December 14, 2021, replaced and cut in our new panel and several other major upgrade components of the system, and had power on for us again in the evening before the sun went down, It was / they were very impressive, to say the least. They cleaned up and close out in good order with follow-up on all details the next day like the professionals. We got what we paid for, and paid for what we got - don't go cheap on work this important - use experienced professionals and subject matter experts for work this serious!

McBride is who I use for our 100,000sf facility that I care for. Ron is our regular technician. Ron explains everything thoroughly and makes sure we know the extent of everything he’s doing. He also gives us the cautions and possibilities so that we can build game plans for each project. Overall, Ron keeps the serious stuff serious, and the not so serious stuff, we can work through. Extremely satisfied! I called and was scheduled quickly with Chris. He was very kind to our family and was willing to work with our needs given the fact that our house is old and had many DIY fails and damage from neglect. He installed new smoke and CO detectors which are now hard-wired and up to code. He covered some old flood light ports that were a risk and he installed new outlets on the patio ceiling and installed our outdoor fans that we bought, which have been an amazing addition to our outdoor area. He also put a box on some old wires that were capped but exposed. The price was reasonable and we paid for the preferred customer plan which not only saved us money, it helped us to establish a working relationship with a trusted source we can rely on again and again. Chris did a complete inspection and gave us a full report of what work we could do to improve the safety of our home. He made a wish list for us and we were able to decide what work we wanted to prioritize with no pressure. He worked hard and did a complete clean up. Overall we had a very pleasant experience and I look forward to getting more work done as soon as it is possible for us to do so.
