I am not local, out on business, got a flat tire. I called minutes prior to closing and was still able to get service. I arrived at 5:01pm! Daniel helped me and was amazing. I'm truly grateful the staff stayed late to ensure I was able to continue my travels. Thank you so much!
I have been a customer of Discount Tire for several decades. I have purchased many tires for all my vehicles over the years. I went to this Discount Tire location Tuesday May 20, 2025 around 5 PM. They close at 6 PM, and I didn't have an appointment. No problem. I pulled into the drive through area where Matt checked my air pressure (PSI) status on my 4 tires. Then I parked, and went inside. They were a little busy, but Carlos M. helped me check in quickly, and made my walk-in appointment while I waited in the store. After a short wait Daniel said they were ready to help me. Deryck removed my 2 Mohave Touring A/S front tires, rebalanced them on the machine, and reinstalled them on my car with the correct torque for the lug nuts. Gus G. helped me with my receipt. I was informed that Dalton was off today. I had questions for each of these guys, and they all took time to answer them. I took a minute of their valuable time, and showed them pics of my old hot rods; a 1970 'cuda, and a 1975 Trans Am. They were all knowledgeable, courteous, professional, well trained, and organized. A positive shout-out to each of them, and the rest of the team. Excellent customer service! UPDATE JULY 10: I received an email reminding me to come get a free air pressure check for my tires. I went inside and Carlos checked my contact information in the system database. Everything was correct. I showed him the old Discount Tire guage I've had for more than 20 years. He gave me a new one. Thank you Carlos! Yael checked my tires. Everything was good. Good people + good tires + good customer service = 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Google Reviews!
They Discount Tire Team in Plano did a wonderful fantastic service. I had a nail in my tire and they didn’t even charge me. They helped me and I booked an appointment on their website. Immediately fantastic service. I would recommend anyone and families to this location. Knowing that I’m from Pearland, TX. I used to work at discount tire 15 years ago at YMCA dr. I always know that customers comes first. The way how you treat your customers with 110% always have the best value and in return.
Discount Tires has a variety of tire options from their entry level, which typically carry a 40k mile warranty, up to the more top shelf which are covered for 80k or more. Whether you're driving an old beater or a fancy sports car, they have options to fit your needs. I've always been pleased with their warranty, and my experience with this location was very pleasant. I came in to get new tires on an old car. Daniel, the technician who helped me, explained the age of the current tires and the options, and at no time did I feel like he was trying to upsell me. He took the time to measure tread depth and listen to my concerns. In the end I got four new tires on the lower end, and they had them installed in roughly 20 minutes. The restroom was clean. There's a coffee maker, but they keep the supplies behind the counter - ask if you want to have coffee. Yes, they have s military discount. Overall, very happy with Discount Tires. Likely to return for many years.
It was a good welcome, I got help immediately, but the wrong kind of help. The guy inspected my car and agreed with me about what i went in to get fixed. Then right away was his first up add on technique lying about having to replace all four of the tire sensors because the other two were not fully charged. I refused, and I told him to just replace the ones I had paid for he removed the tire from my car and then comes in with his second attempt to upsell. He lies to me about my tire needing to be replaced and how he couldn’t help me because it was a safety issue. He tried to say that my tire was cracking that the rubber on the tire was cracking and that it was unsafe for them to change the sensors. I immediately recognized that he was lying to me. The, and I quote “cracks” on the tire were the lines that come with the tire for friction you know the little shapes on the tire. In that moment, I asked for a full refund because he constantly tried to sell me a new tire. Knowing da.n well, that my tire was good. The shock in his face when i told him to refund me. I will say that either he was under trained or this location is big on robbing there costumer. I when to another location and I asked if they could rotate the tire so it can run out evenly. The guy asked me why? He said the tire was good for another couple of miles, but what he recommended was an alighting. The tire was wasting slightly faster from the inside, he said it was a 4 instead of a 5 but the tire was good. At no time did he said "cracks". They fixed the sensers fast and with no problems. I might not know all about cars, but I do know when people are straight up wasting my time. I feel bad for the people that do fall for this kind of techniques. I know a lot of you are grateful for the good services, but were the all necessary?
